Carol McArdle grew up in Europe riding jumpers and eventing, and in Germany she learned the "German System" of Classical Equitation.  After receiving degrees in Zoology and Biochemistry, she trained under Jim Wofford, Jack LeGoff, and Bruce Davidson, subsequently returning to Europe to compete for the USET.  She trained with Christopher Bartle for several years, moving to pure dressage under his tutelage in the French Classical System.  Carol competed in Grand Prix in Europe, and was short listed for the World Games and the OIympics.  She was the reserve rider for the Seoul Olympics and long listed for the Barcelona Olympics.

After competing for many years, Carol now focuses her attention on the similarities and differences between the French, the German, and the Iberian Classical Systems.  She was a student at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, Spain in 2003 and she was also a student of two of the riders from the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art.

CHA Master Instructor Patti Stalley will be at FallBrooks Farm this year.

Whether you are a beginner or an avid Western rider, Dressage rider, or a Jumper.  Patti has taught all levels of people and horses for many years.  She is patient and gives lessons depending on the ability of the students.  She is thorough in her analysis of both horse and rider and her lessons develop around the discipline that they are riding.  Her top priority is to teach "Correct Riding."

Equine Studies Faculty, Patti Stalley, CWC Equine Professor, Patti Stalley began developing CWC’s equine studies program almost a quarter century ago and today it has a nationally recognized curriculum.

For many of Stalley’s students, the college’s horsemanship program is able to transform a student’s love for horses into a meaningful and productive career. CWC graduates have gone on to work as equine facilities managers, horse trainers and to show horses internationally.

“Our program has become known as a progressive program by staying current with national and international equine trends,” Stalley said. “We encourage our students to become well rounded.”

Word-of-mouth accolades about Stalley’s instruction and the equine program at CWC have spread. Students come from across the nation travel to Riverton to enroll, and the program has even attracted some international students. Patti has even taken a call from a young woman in New York who learned about the program from the U.S. Olympic Equestrian Team’s veterinarian, whom Stalley has never met.
